STAR^® MANAGER PRACTITIONER

WHAT IS STAR^® MANAGER PRACTITIONER?

Notion’s STAR^® Manager Practitioner is an award-winning online coaching and management skills training programme developed to improve your capability by enabling you to incorporate coaching-related behaviours into your everyday management style, a skillset that has been shown repeatedly to increase employee engagement, productivity and the performance of teams.

This programme includes 22 online modules, most of which are 20-45 minutes long. The two ‘Practitioner’ modules also include a 90-minute live zoom session with 2-3 other learners and your Notion Tutor.

The first 10 modules are focused on developing YOU and YOUR management style
The second 10 modules are focused on developing your skills to proactively develop and support OTHERS
There are also 2 ‘Practitioner’ modules which include live zoom sessions supported by an expert Notion Tutor

CONTENT

20 ONLINE MODULES, WORKPLACE MISSIONS & REFLECTIVE LOG

PRACTITIONER SESSIONs:

QUALIFICATION:

LEVEL 5 CERTIFICATE IN STAR^® OPERATIONAL COACHING^®

You will have 12 months to complete the programme from your registration date

Your journey starts with 10 modules of blended learning content to develop your day-to-day management skills and your ability to coach others, naturally, ‘in the moment’

✦ Why asking questions delivers better, longer-term results than telling or advising

✦ About Notion’s STAR Coaching Model®

✦ How to use triggers to stop your habitual responses to situations

✦ How to listen actively, and intuitively

✦ How to gain commitment from others and to follow-up on the actions they agree

The journey continues with a further 10 modules that focus on your skills to develop the capability and performance of others

You’ll learn:

✦ How to empower and enable your direct reports to step-up

✦ About the importance of beliefs and values in affecting behaviour

✦ How to deliver more effective feedback

✦ How to take the challenge out of challenging conversations

✦ How to use a coaching approach to set goals and structure developmental conversations

✦ How to manage 1:1s with team members to ensure that positive progress is being made

It's about OTHERS!

During the journey, you'll also have 2 x live 90-minute 'Practitioner' sessions with a Notion Tutor

These two additional ‘practitioner’ modules include an online pre-work/review module followed by a ‘live’ 90-minute Action Learning Circle (held via Zoom videoconference) with a Notion Tutor.

These sessions are designed to build your confidence and further embed the learning and application of new skills in the workplace.

You’ll receive written feedback from your tutor which you can reflect upon to further develop your new skills.

Programme Features

This is not an average e-learning programme! Instead, it’s a fabulous, exciting and engaging experience that really increases management capabilities… and it’s also a lot of fun. Interactive drama videos are built into the journey where the learner makes decisions to help some of the managers at a company called ‘Rocket’.
