We spend 81,396 hours of our lives working, second only to sleeping, but 41% of us experience job-related stress and only 23% are actively engaged – is it any wonder the world is facing a mental health crisis if we’re all miserable at work?

As a result of this chronic discontent at work, organisations have introduced a host of initiatives to make staff happier and more engaged – from ping-pong tables to free fruit, ‘duvet days’ to flexible working, well-being apps to yoga in the park. But is it working?
