Had a ward round with a consultant which usually is quite time-consuming. I felt more confident. Asking an insightful question allowed us to reflect on the best way we could initiate ward rounds to achieve the best possible outcome for the patients but also for our working day.

This was much more of a valued teamwork approach, instead of the consultant just leading and telling us the order of the ward round in which we see patients I was able to ask questions, which allowed reflection. As a result priority patients were seen first. This ultimately improved the patient experience which is very important.”
