We recommend you spend approximately 1-hour per week on the programme (for example, this could be 2 x 30-minute extended coffee breaks) with the aim of completing a module a week.

Each module includes a number of activities, each ranging from 10-30 minutes, such as completing the eLearning module, programme activities, completing workplace Missions and reflecting on your performance in the Learning Logs.

The programme is designed so that STAR® Coach (part 1) can be completed in approximately 3 months and the Certified  STAR® Manager (parts 1 & 2) programme in 6 months.

Absolutely! The STAR® programme is for everybody, in any organisation, at every level and will provide you with great new tools.  You’ll learn how to use a coaching style with everyone around you, including your colleagues, line manager, friends and family.

Aspiring Managers

The STAR® Coach programme is our recommendation for you. You’ll learn how to embed an Operational Coaching® style into conversations with those around you. Aspiring Managers have told us that they’ve been promoted as a direct result of their new communication style.

Managers and Senior Leaders

You have two options. The STAR® Coach programme will help you embed an Operational Coaching® style into your daily conversations, and the STAR® Manager programme includes this and also further develops your skills in giving developmental and appreciative feedback, handling difficult conversations and holding 1-1s.

In an academic study into the STAR® programme, the London School of Economics found that there are benefits and value in this programme for every level of leader, in every sector, from c-suite to supervisor. At whatever stage you are in your career, you will get value from this programme.

Every two weeks one of Notion’s expert Tutors hosts an hour-long interactive workshop and Q&A session that anyone on the STAR® programme can attend. It is a great opportunity for you to ask any questions that you have (be that about the programme content or how to apply it) and hear others’ questions too. It includes breakout sessions where you and your fellow learners can share best practice and what’s working for them. You can attend as many Live Learning Stations as you wish over the duration of your programme. They are completely optional and provide additional opportunities for learners who enjoy collaborative learning, working with others, as well as offering additional support and direct access to our world-class tutors.
Both STAR® Coach and STAR® Manager are certified by APMG International who are one of the largest certification bodies in the world. They were the original certifiers of the Prince2 project management certification and Agile PM. They certify and globally support a wide range of professional training programmes.

The programme is designed to capture a range of metrics and assessments naturally as you work through the programme, eliminating the need for any formal end-of-programme exams.

Throughout the programme, you will be invited to organically create evidence logs that demonstrate your application of the skills you’re learning and complete knowledge quizzes, which require a 70% pass rate. You are always given opportunities to re-review and re-take these quizzes if you don’t achieve these scores the first time.

As long as you diligently complete all modules and provide a minimum of three successes in your success tracker, you’ll automatically gain your accreditation at the end!

Due to the global nature of the programme, all prices are in USD. Sales tax (VAT in the UK) will be added to these rates where legally required.   4. Once you’ve attended your Live Launch, the full programme opens up and you can start working through your programme

You can start your programme almost immediately. Within 1 working day of payment being received you can login to your programme dashboard.

We have live online launch events running every week. When you log in to your programme dashboard, you’ll be presented with a selection of dates and times. Just select the launch event that’s most convenient for you and book yourself onto it.

The set-up process is simple:

The standard license length is 6 months for each 10 module programme purchased. ie. 6 months for STAR® Coach (10 modules) or 12 months for Certified STAR® Manager (20 modules), from the date of your login details being issued.
 
During your license period, you’ll have full access to your STAR® programme, including Live Learning Stations.
Yes, you can. You can buy STAR® Coach today, and when you’ve finished the programme and want to complete the next 10 modules to become a Certified STAR® Manager, simply contact Mission Control, who will be delighted to help you.

No. We use PayPal as our payment processor, but you do not have to have a PayPal account to buy from us. Simply click ‘Guest Checkout’, and you will be able to buy using your credit card without a PayPal account.

Yes. If you have a few colleagues who also want to join the programme, you can add multiple seats in the shop, and we will contact the lead purchaser to get the individual learners’ contact details so that we can individually set each learner up on the programme.
 
Alternatively, contact us directly so that we can discuss your requirements. For larger volumes, we’ll share our enterprise rates and work through a PO/invoice purchase process.
